Microsoft kembali mengalihkan dirinya dengan produk yang non-windows dan non-office. Kali ini, Microsoft tampaknya mencoba menantang para situs jejaring sosial seperti Facebook dan Twitter dengan tool yang mereka sebut Vine.

Saat ini Vine baru memasuk masa beta testing, Vine ditujukan untuk sharing informasi penting dan news feeds. Widget dari Vine akan berdiam di desktop anda dan menampilkan peta komunitas anda, berita, alert dan status dari teman - teman ataupun keluarga anda. Vine ini kurang lebih terlihat seperti, gabungan antara RSS feed reader, status update system(seperti di Twitter) dan messaging(facebook).
